Output Movement v1.0.3 VST

Output Movement v1.0.3 VST (331 MB)

We’ve just released an update for MOVEMENT (v1.0.3). User’s can expect the following with the new update:

• Offline Activation
• Optimized CPU performance
• Mono/Stereo Mode
• Enchanced motion graphics performance
• Fixed VST crashes in Native Instruments’ Maschine
• Various minor bug fixes and optimizations

To receive the update, simply download the MOVEMENT installer again by opening Connect, pasting your serial code and clicking ‘Download.’ Run the installer, and you should be all set. You can verify your version of MOVEMENT by clicking on the MOVEMENT logo in the top right corner. If you begin the installation via Connect and see that v1.0.2 is being downloaded instead, pause the download, hold the Shift key, and click the red ‘Install’ button to reset Connect’s download of the  v1.0.3 installer. Below are some host-specific notes regarding the update:

Pro Tools Users

Since we added mono-stereo mode, please note that when you open sessions that were saved with v1.0.2, all mono instances of MOVEMENT will automatically be converted to mono-stereo instances of the plugin. This means that the output path of the track will now be stereo, and be aware that Pro Tools might automatically set the pan of the track’s left channel to center. This can easily be overcome by adjusting the left channel pan automation (of the track, not MOVEMENT) to be ‘<100.’ If you wish to continue using the mono version of the plugin, you can simply click on the MOVEMENT insert, hold and reselect MOVEMENT (mono) without losing any plugin settings.

Logic 9 (32 bit) Users (updated 7.14.2016)

The v1.0.3 installer will install a single AU file that is now both 32 and 64 bit. Before running the MOVEMENT v1.0.3 installer, please do the following to ensure that Logic’s preferences are no longer looking for the 64 bit only AU:

• With Logic closed (quit), navigate to Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
• Delete Movement.component
• Open Logic, allowing the app to scan for plugins, then quit Logic once it’s finished loading
• Run the MOVEMENT v1.0.3 installer

You should now be able to find MOVEMENT in your list of 32 bit AUs.

Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 (PC/Mac)

In General, avoid using MOVEMENT within VE Pro itself, use MOVEMENT in your host DAW. VE Pro 5 has a hard time dealing with VST plugins that use a side-chain input (such as MOVEMENT). This issue is only pertaining to the VST format of the plugin, there are no such known issues with the AU version (Mac only) of MOVEMENT in VE Pro.

Studio One Users (PC)

If Studio One doesn’t find the VST3 version MOVEMENT in your plugins location, move it to

32 bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3
64 bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
Digital Performer 8 Users (Mac – AU)

When using MOVEMENT as an AU, you must assign a track to MOVEMENT’s sidechain input (within the DP plugin wrapper) to activate the main stereo outputs of the plugin. The assigned track can be a blank audio track, but MOVEMENT as an AU needs needs to have a source assigned to the sidechain input in DP8. This does not apply to VST versions of MOVEMENT in DP8.

Cubase 8 Users (PC)
If you can’t locate the VST3 version of MOVEMENT in Cubase, move the MOVEMENT VST3 files to
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase8\VST3

For all PC users

MOVEMENT now utilizes your machine’s Graphical Processing Unit (GPU) to handle the plugin’s motion graphics. If your GPU is not updated, you might experience graphical lags in your DAW, freezes, or other graphics related issues. Make sure to update your GPU to ensure optimal performance. If you use an AMD graphics processor, you might still notice high CPU, in which case please get in touch with us and we’ll send you an installer for a version of MOVEMENT v1.0.3 that keeps motion graphics handled by the CPU.
